CURRENT PROJECT
The Resilient Retrofit Program presents homeowners with an opportunity to enhance the resilience of their dwellings by incorporating flood-resistant designs and materials. It also provides the flexibility to elevate or relocate essential services to ensure the habitability of the residence. The program offers an initial funding amount of $50,000 for maintenance or restoration efforts, with an additional 50 cents provided for each dollar that surpasses the initial allocation.
Through the Home Raising Program, homeowners can receive grants aimed at elevating their homes to reduce the impact of potential flooding. The primary goal is to elevate habitable floors to meet or exceed the minimum flood hazard level outlined in the local government planning scheme. Subsidies are provided for the raising works, with a maximum limit of $100,000, and an extra 50 cents granted for each dollar that exceeds the initial funding amount.
Upon receiving your Home Assessment Report, our team will thoroughly assess the document to craft a Quote and Scope of Works in accordance with building legislative standards and the responsible use of public funds. The quote provided will offer a comprehensive breakdown of all expenses and meticulously outline the proposed resilience works. This includes specifying the type, quantity, and cost of materials, as well as detailing the labor costs involved in the project.
At PAANA Construction, our in-house design team possesses the expertise and know-how to develop a building design and plan that fully complies with the Design Guidance for Flood Resilient Homes. Throughout the entire process, we collaborate closely with our clients, engaging in thorough discussions to identify and select the necessary works tailored to their unique circumstances and preferences.
Upon the client’s successful funding approval, they will proceed to enter into a funding agreement with the Queensland Government and a contract with PAANA Construction to carry out the necessary works. Once these agreements have been finalized, our team is all set to commence the renovation works promptly!
